NKBF is an association of interest for children born during the period of 1940-46, their mother being Norwegian and their father belonged to the German Occupation Forces.

NKBF were founded in 1986 and have by to day, members both in Norway and abroad. 

NKBF`s paragraphs of endeavour: 

The endeavour of the association is to protect the war children’s interests, inform and give advise and support to members that’s searching for their father and his relatives.  

NKBF have developed to become a forum for social fellow shipment, where the members can meet, exchange experiences and bring out the best in each other from the common cultural inheriting we share.  

 NKBF`s priority cases are: 

  • Insight in personal files that’s made difficult by the government.
  • Circumstances around the upbringing of the war children. Circumstances that’s being investigated by the Research Council of Norway.  
  • Bringing home children from Germany.  
  • What happened to the war children in the Emma Hjorts home?

 

 
  • What happened to the war children that the government did not manage to give up for adoption.
  • Information about biological parents, important both mentally and legally.
  • Unsettled nationality, identity abused by the Stasi.
  • Norwegian government refused adoption of war children abroad.
  • Actually determination of fatherhood without any extra costs to our members.
